Im ersten Durchgang war es zunächst nur Rang 7 und ich kämpfte mich noch auf den dritten Platz vor. Im zweiten Lauf war es noch schlechter, da war ich nach einer Runde nur auf Platz 10. Das dauerte dann etwas, bis ich auch wieder auf dem dritten Platz war," schilderte Hartmann sein erstes Rennen in diesem Jahr, dass ihm wieder viel Spaß gemacht hatte. "Der AMC Frankenthal hatte die Strecke wieder hervorragend präpariert," freute sich der Husqvarna-Fahrer vom Team BSN-Racing. Aber statt bei der Siegerehrung für seinen dritten Platz in der Tageswertung, war Hartmann allerdings im Krankenhaus - Sein Freund hatte sich beim Rennen verletzt und der Husqvarna-Fahrer kümmerte sich vor Ort um ihn. Repsol Honda Team rider Toni Bou has just been proclaimed 2019 FIM X-Trial World Champion in the season’s penultimate trial held this evening in Marseille, France. The success brings Bou’s 13th X-Trial title and takes his world championship tally to 25. Toni Bou’s thirteenth world X-Trial title, sees the rider grab a twenty-fifth outright title triumph, including the twelve outdoor titles achieved in TrialGP. The feat amounts to thirteen consecutive seasons of victories since winning the first crown back in 2007 – all of them aboard the Montesa Cota 4RT. The Repsol Honda Team rider sealed the championship title at the first available opportunity with one event still to run before the end of the season. After starting the campaign with victory in the first event of the calendar in Budapest, Bou went on to take victory in Bilbao and Granada, as well as a runner-up podium spot in Barcelona. In the X-Trial in Marseille, the Repsol Honda Team ace was able to mathematically guarantee the championship after winning the trial with an outstanding performance at the Palais des Sports to take the title, with one championship event left to dispute in Andorra la Vella on 27th April.

X-TRIAL Granada 19 X-Trial 2019 Round XTR4 , Race Toni Bou clinches a sixtieth X-Trial World Championship triumph in Granada Repsol Honda Team rider Toni Bou was again victorious in tonight’s X-Trial in Granada as the world championship reaches its fourth round. The champion takes his tally of top flight victories to sixty in the indoor competition. This third victory of the season sees Bou distance himself further at the head of the overall championship leader board. It has been over ten years since that the Municipal Sports Palace of Granada hosted an FIM X-Trial World Championship event. On the previous two occasions it was also Toni Bou who took top honours in the competition. The Repsol Honda Team rider arrived in Granada as overall leader, after having retaken the overall top spot seven days ago in Bilbao. Bou, aboard the Montesa Cota 4RT, made short work of the first phase to comfortably qualify for the second round, after taking the best score on the first run through sections, collecting just two penalty marks. The second phase turned out to be a tighter, more closely fought group as Bou faced Adam Raga and Miquel Gelabert. However, the current champ prevailed, guaranteeing a place on the podium before competing in the Super-final. Toni Bou performed brilliantly in a thrilling Super-final, riding to a third victory of the season. The result means that the Repsol Honda Team ace retains the world championship leadership with a 13-point advantage over the nearest second place rival. The fifth and penultimate event of the X-Trial World Championship will be held next Saturday, March 9th at the Palais des Sports in Marseille. Prior to this, however, Toni Bou will take part in the opening of the Spanish Trial Championship which will be held on Sunday March 3rd in the town of Arnedillo, La Rioja.

X-TRIAL Bilbao 19 X-Trial 2019 Round XTR3 , Race Toni Bou back on top after a great triumph in Bilbao Repsol Honda Team rider Toni Bou rode to victory in the third round of the FIM X-Trial World Championship held tonight in Bilbao. The second win of the season sees the champion bounce back to the head of the overall standings. As Bilbao debuted as a host in the FIM X-Trial World Championship, spectators at the Bizkaia Arena-BEC were able to witness a somewhat hesitant start from Toni Bou who nevertheless made the cut for the second phase. The second round saw the Repsol Honda Team rider finish on equal points with Adam Raga whom he went on to beat in a thrilling final. The final proved to be a hotly disputed one with Bou emerging victorious for the second time this season. The win means that Toni Bou, once again, retakes the top spot in the overall rankings with a five-point advantage over Adam Raga. The fourth trial of the X-Trial World Championship is scheduled for this coming Saturday, February 23rd at the Palacio Municipal de Deportes in Granada, Spain.

Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona today witnessed the second round of the FIM X-Trial World Championship. Toni Bou took second place on the podium with Takahisa Fujinami posting seventh.
In spite of a good performance, Toni Bou was unable to conclude the trial with the desired result. After making the cut for both the second phase and the final, Toni suffered a heavy fall in the semi-final sustaining an injured back. The pain severely hampered the champion in the head-to-head with Adam Raga, with Bou eventually having to settle for second place.
The result sees Bou in second overall place in the championship general standings on 35 points, equal to the current leader Adam Raga.
Repsol Honda Team stable-mate Takahisa Fujinami, a wildcard rider in this second round of the world championship, rode a solid first phase, but failed to make the grade for the semi-final finishing seventh in the event.
The third event of the X-Trial World Championship, with Toni Bou competing as the sole representative of the Repsol Honda Team, is scheduled for Saturday February 16th at the Bizkaia Arena (Bilbao Exhibition Center) in Barakaldo.

X-Trial 2019 Round XTR1 , Race Toni Bou debuts in Budapest with a victory as X-Trial championship gets underway The FIM X-Trial World Championship kicked off with a triumph for Repsol Honda Team’s Toni Bou in Budapest. Takahisa Fujinami was unable to make the cut for the semi-final. Repsol Honda Team ace Toni Bou opened the season in the style with a resounding victory in the Laszlo Papp Arena in Budapest, becoming the 2019 campaign’s first overall leader. Bou, who was forced to sit out the Hungarian date at the end of last season due to injured vertebrae, completed his maiden Budapest trial taking top honours. Bou had already marked the difference by the end of the first round, collecting a single penalty mark compared to the six of the nearest second placed adversary. In the semi-final, where only the top finisher from each group would make it through to the grand final, Bou again proved unmatchable notching up two solitary marks. The final showdown saw the champ face his tough arch-rival Adam Raga, with the riders forced to take the same sections but in the reverse direction. Bou started the final losing ground to his opponent before some deft handling eventually moved the Spaniard up into first place. Toni managed to hold on to the lead – in spite of picking up a five in the penultimate hazard – to secure the first victory of the 2019 FIM X-Trial championship. Repsol Honda Team comrade-in-arms Takahisa Fujinami was unable to replicate the semi-final place picked up in the same competition the previous year and struggled to make it through to the second phase. Repsol Honda Team will again compete with the full line up of Toni Bou and Takahisa Fujinami for the second championship date scheduled for Palau Sant Jordi de Barcelona on Sunday 3rd February.

Takahisa Fujinami occupied the third step of the podium, proving to be Repsol Honda Team’s first rostrum double so far this season. Toni Bou injured his right knee yesterday in the qualifying round and after a medical check-up had to spend the night bandaged up. The champion, nevertheless, came out guns blazing, keen not to let the injury be a hindrance. Leader by the end of the first lap, in the second he kept his adversaries firmly in check to score a brilliant first place. This is victory number 100 with the Montesa Cota 4RT since joining the team in 2007. Bou extends his overall advantage in the TrialGP World Championship to twenty-three points over the nearest second place rival. Bou’s Repsol Honda Team team-mate, Japanese rider Takahisa Fujinami, took an excellent third place on the day where he fought nail and tooth from the first section. The hard work paid off as the rider took his second podium of the season – after the one in Japan – as the team clinched the first podium double of the 2018 season. ‘Fujigas’ climbs a position and now holds sixth in the provisional world championship table. The course of this sixth event in the top flight category was a demanding one that invited easy mistakes. In addition, the heat proved to be one of the day’s main protagonists, forcing the riders to constantly hydrate to not lose strength on the longest fifteen-section course of the trial calendar. Repsol Honda Team now get a few well-deserved weeks of rest before returning to the competition for the seventh world championship event in Silsden, Great Britain, on 1st and 2nd September.

Onwards and upwards: Victory number 101 for Toni Bou in the world championship
Repsol Honda Team rider Toni Bou clinched victory in the fifth round of the TrialGP World Championship held this weekend in Auron, France. Takahisa Fujinami posted fifth. The fifth event of the TrialGP World Championship was battled out this weekend at an altitude of 1700 metres above sea level, in Auron, a French town in the Alps-Maritimes. Despite the grim weather forecast, good weather reigned over both the competition’s main days, the qualifying stage and race day. The course, the usual fifteen sections ridden over two laps, was a fairly selective one, but also one that invited careless mistakes. Rocks formed the prevalent terrain type in most of the route’s sections. World championship leader Toni Bou started with strength and some dexterous riding skills and, in spite of some negligible errors, was able to finish the first lap in top position, with thirteen penalty points plus one for exceeding the time limit. On the second lap, Bou was able to whittle down the score, securing the win before finishing the course. This is victory number 101 for Bou in top flight competition and thus extends the champion’s lead over Jeroni Fajardo in second overall place to thirteen points. Bou’s brother-in-arms at Repsol Honda Team, Takahisa Fujinami also found a good rhythm. Thanks to a solid qualification yesterday, he was able to take note from some of the riders who started out in front. The result saw Fujigas holding a provisional podium place at the end of the first lap. The marginal differences between many of the top riders meant that the trial’s final positions were decided on minimal errors and ‘Fujigas’ had to eventually settle for fifth place. The Japanese rider does, however, climb one position in the overall championship standings after the event.

TrialGP Portugal 18 TrialGP 2018 Round TGP 4 Toni Bou breaks a new record: 100 victories in the world trial championships In Gouveia, Portugal today, Repsol Honda Team rider Toni Bou set yet another new record in the TrialGP World Championship: 100 victories. Bou established a 50% win ratio on the same day as reaching the new milestone of a 200th championship appearance. The triumph of Toni Bou today in Portugal was far from just going through the motions, but represents another career high-point for the Repsol Honda Team rider. The champion managed to break the record for number of victories in world championship trials, as he surpasses the long-established record of Dougie Lampkin with 99 wins. The Barcelona rider continues to write history. The trial of Gouveia, in Portugal, the fourth round of the TrialGP World Championship, was a particularly tough one: competitors faced scorching temperatures, sections with steep climbs that demanded both superb physical form and impeccable technique amid some of the complicated sections set in the granite of the Nuestra Señora Los Verdes Park. The current world champion had virtually finished off the competition on the first lap with an exceptional ascent in section ten, where Bou became the sole competitor to overcome the vertical step. Completing the first lap with just a single penalty point ahead of the nine of the nearest second place rival, effectively sealed the victory. The rider went on to extend the lead on lap two to finish with a twelve point margin. This marks the third victory for Toni Bou this season and stretches the lead in the overall standings to ten points ahead of the second placed rider. Bou’s companion at Repsol Honda Team, Takahisa Fujinami, suffered in the demanding areas, but kept the scorecard low enough on the first lap to remain in the top ten. In the second, with a very small margin separating the elite riders, Fujigas improved to be able to finally post eighth place. With the 100th victory out of 200 participations, Bou also accumulates 145 podium places in the world championship. The Spaniard remains the only rider to achieve a 50% victory record in the sport’s highest category. Takahisa Fujinami remains the rider with the highest number of participations, 326, as well as the competitor to have accrued the highest number of points in the contest. The next round of the TrialGP World Championship, the fifth whose points count towards the championship, will be held in Auron, France, on 14th and 15th July.
