TrialGP 2018 Round TGP 3 , 1 Toni Bou scoops 99th world championship victory in Andorra Repsol Honda Team rider, Toni Bou, triumphed in the Andorra TrialGP, the third round of the world championship, taking his victory tally to a record ninety-nine wins. It was the second victory of the season for Bou and a win to relish, not only because it represents a win on ‘home soil’ in Andorra where he resides, but also because the Repsol Honda Team rider equals the ninety-nine win record of seven times world champion Dougie Lampkin. Bou, in addition, extends his advantage in the overall standings to seven points over immediate rival Jeroni Fajardo. Toni Bou displayed a high level today in spite of the sections not being the most demanding in a trial where any errors paid dearly. A five in section eleven on the first lap threw the trial wide open before Bou eventually completed the first lap in second place overall. A splendid ride on the final lap saw the current champ put the pressure on rivals, who took maximums in some rather unexpected places. The victory was accomplished in the last of the thirty sections by a mere two point-advantage. Elsewhere, Takahisa Fujinami was one of the first riders to take the start after a less-than-positive qualification round yesterday. Overcoming the sections with virtually no previous reference weighed heavy on the scorecard and saw the Japanese rider take twelfth position. ‘Fujigas’ is now eighth in the general rankings. The sections of this third TrialGP date in the 2018 calendar were battled over hard, slate terrain that disintegrated very easily as the bikes went through, as well as offering some high steps to negotiate. In addition, the Repsol Honda Team riders had to deal with both suffocating heat and altitude, with most sections 1,300 metres above sea-level in the mountainous area of Sant Julià de Lòria. The next stop for TrialGP World Championship takes place next weekend in the town of Gouveia, in Portugal. The Senhora dos Verdes Park will host this, the fourth date of the trial outdoor calendar.

Beim Motocross-2-Takt-Cup auf der Strecke "Am Sandberg" in Triptis belegte Husqvarna-Fahrer Mike Hartmann zweimal den zweiten Platz und verteidigt damit seine zweite Position in der aktuellen Meisterschaft. Beim ersten Lauf des Tages konnte Hartmann gleich den zweiten Platz übernehmen, während der Meisterschafts-Leader Moritz Schittenhelm auch prompt gewann. Hinter dem Schnaitheimer landete Simon Schmidt auf dem dritten Platz. Im zweiten Lauf lief es zunächst besser für den Husqvarna-Fahrer: Er gewann den Start und blieb auch bis zur Hälfte des Laufes in Führung. Doch dann machte Schittenhelm von hinten so viel Druck, dass er ihn vorbei lassen musste: "Ich fühlte mich schon völlig platt, seit zwei Wochen laboriere ich an einer Erkältung und bekomme die einfach nicht weg." Hinter ihm erneut Schmidt auf dem dritten Platz, der damit auch als neuer Dritter der Meisterschaft die Verfolger ordentlich durcheinander wirbelt. Schon jetzt hat Hartmann 53 Punkte Vorsprung und könnte damit sogar einen Lauf ausfallen lassen, ohne seine Platzierung in der Meisterschaft zu gefährden.
A hard-packed, fast and jumpy Matterley Basin track played host to the British Grand Prix where Romain Febvre's performance was nothing short of heroic. The Frenchman could barely walk as a result of the ligament injury he sustained two weeks ago at the MXGP of Germany, but he dug deep and was fast enough to stand on the third step of the box after a fifth place finish in Race 1 and a hard-fought third place finish in Race 2.

TrialGP 2018 Round TGP 2 , 2 Toni Bou back on the podium and retakes the TrialGP leadership Toni Bou today clinched an excellent second place in the TrialGP of Japan, the second event of the season, as the day two was battled out in the natural areas surrounding the Twin Ring Motegi circuit. The Repsol Honda Team rider returns to the top of the overall championship leaderboard. Toni Bou re-found the missing bond with the bike on day two of the GP in Motegi which saw the champion right back in the battle for a win. Despite the handicap of having to start out in the leading group of riders, Bou held a solid pace, without accruing excessive penalties, to reach the end of the trial still with options of victory. In the end, the Repsol Honda Team rider had to settle for second place, although he reinstates himself at the head of the overall standings in the TrialGP World Championship, with 50 points to the 48 of the nearest second place rival. Toni Bou’s team-mate in the Repsol Honda Team, Japan’s Takahisa Fujinami, suffered today, especially on the first lap, where he committed too many errors that cost him heavily in the final result. The rider managed to limit the damage on the second lap and lowered the score, but was unable to score better than an overall ninth place. ‘Fujigas’ is now sixth overall in the championship standings. The next round of the TrialGP World Championship will be held in Andorra on the 16th and 17th of June. The event, which will have the qualifying day on Saturday, returns to the single day of competition format.
Hartmann verteidigt zweiten Meisterschaftsrang im Zweitakt-Cup
Mike Hartmann verteidigte auf seiner Husqvarna auch beim fünften Lauf zum Motocross-Zweitakt-Cup seinen zweiten Meisterschaftsrang: Auf der traditionsreichen Strecke im Hessischen Beuern lief es aber im Zeittraining noch nicht so gut und er kam nur auf die fünftbeste Zeit des Fahrerfeldes. Das machte sich beim Start zum ersten Lauf bemerkbar, wo er nach der ersten Runde nur als Achter gezählt wurde. Bis kurz vor Schluss kämpfte er sich aber noch auf den dritten Platz vor, nur eine Sekunde hinter den Zweiten, Patrick Bender. Da der aber nicht in der Meisterschaft eingeschrieben ist, erhielt Hartmann die Punkte für den zweiten Platz. Im zweiten Lauf schien der Heidenheimer dann die Revanche einzuleiten: Gleich ein Holeshot und in Führung des Feldes! Doch ab der zweiten Runde bekam er technische Probleme die letztlich sogar zu einem Ausfall führten. Hot and sunny conditions played host to a grueling seventh round of the FIM Motocross World Championship in Kegums, Latvia, last weekend. Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing's Jeremy Van Horebeek banked sixth overall, while following his impressive third-place finish in Race One, Romain Febvre crashed out of the race, and podium contention, in the final outing. He still finished eleventh-place in the Grand Prix overall and remains fourth in the 2018 MXGP Championship Standings.

Repsol Honda Team team-mate Takahisa Fujinami posted a well-deserved eighth place in spite of a nagging shoulder injury. After yesterday’s first qualifying round of the season, where Bou finished eleventh after a costly mistake; today the champion rose to the occasion and reversed his fortunes with a fine performance. Sunday’s trial over an eight-kilometre, fifteen-section course proved to be a tough ride given the weekend’s weather conditions. The two laps were marked by intermittent but intense rain, with riders forced to negotiate delicately the perilously muddy conditions of the route. The difficulties brought out the best of Toni Bou whose triumph establishes him as the season’s first overall leader. The second lap saw Bou struggle through a rough patch, although the rider quickly bounced back to seal the trial victory with a seventeen-point advantage over the nearest second place rival. Bou’s Repsol Honda Team team-mate Takahisa Fujinami braved severe shoulder pain, but nevertheless managed to overcome a lack of arm movement to score an eighth place finish. The next TrialGP World Championship round will be held at the Motegi circuit in Japan, over two days. Qualifying is scheduled for June 1st, with the main event over the two following days.
Hartmann beim 2-Takt-Cup Dritter Beim zweiten Lauf zum Motocross-2-Takt-Cup, der beim MC Moorgrund in Gumpelstadt (südlich von Eisenach) wurder Husqvarna-Fahrer Mike Hartmann Dritter in der Tageswertung und verteidigte damit seinen zweiten Platz in der Meisterschaft. Im ersten Lauf kam er nicht so gut vom Startgatter weg und war nur Fünfter, doch er kämpfte sich vor auf den zweiten Platz hinter den Meisterschafts-Führenden Moritz Schittenhelm. Beim zweiten Lauf klappte der Start schon besser, und er reihte sich hinter Schittenhelm ein. Das ging auch gut, bis vier Runden vor Schluß die überrundeten Fahrer kamen und dort kam Marvin Dietermann von Platz drei besser vorbei und verdrängte Hartmann vom zweiten Platz. In der Tageswertung war Hartmann punktgleich mit Dietermann, doch aufgrund des besseren letzten Laufes wurde Dietermann auch Zweiter in der Tageswertung. Auf die Meisterschaft hat das aber keinen Einfluss: Da bleibt Hartmann Zweiter hinter Schittenhelm und mit sechs Punkten Vorsprung vor Dietermann.
Hartmann wieder auf Platz 2 Beim dritten Lauf zum Motocross BRC 2-Takt-Cup in Kamp-Lintfort wurde Mike Hartmann zweimal Zweiter und verteidigt damit seinen zweiten Platz in der Meisterschaft. Nach nächtlichem Regen und viel Schlamm auf der Strecke verzichtete der Husqvarna-Fahrer, wie auch viele seiner Kollegen, zunächst auf das freie Training. "Es war einfach "Land unter" und machte keinen Sinn," erkläre er seine Entscheidung, mit der er nicht alleine war. Im Qualifikationstraining um die Startplätze belegte er dann den vierten Platz. In beiden Läufen legte Hartmann anschließend einen guten Start hin, war jedes Mal vorne, doch fand beide Male nicht den richtigen Bremspunkt. Im ersten Durchgang kam er als Vierter aus der ersten Kurve doch es dauerte nicht lange, bis er sich auf den zweiten Platz vorgekämpft hatte. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt war der amtierende Führende in der Meisterschaft, Moritz Schittenhelm, schon zehn Sekunden weit weg und konnte seinen Vorsprung bis ins Ziel halten. Im zweiten Lauf tat sich Hartmann nicht ganz so leicht, denn nicht nur, dass er als Fünfter aus der ersten Kurve kam, diesmal dauerte es fast bis zum Schluß, bis er wieder auf den zweiten Platz kam. 3 Runden vor Schluss hatte er dann keine Gelegenheit mehr Schittenhelm noch einzuholen und beendete beide Läufe auf dem zweiten Platz.
Mike Hartmann: Vom Enduromeister zum Motocross Der Ex-Deutsche Enduro-Meister und Ex-Enduro-Europameister Mike Hartmann fährt in diesem Jahr wieder intensiv Motocross: Den Auftakt machte der erste Lauf zum 2-Takt-Cup im hessichen Aufenau. Beim Qualifikationtraining reichte es "nur" für den fünften Platz, denn er konnte nur eine einzige schnelle Runde fahren, weil ein anderer Fahrer schwer gestürzt war. Doch schon beim ersten Lauf legte der Husqvarna-Fahrer einen sehr guten Start hin und reihte sich als Zweiter ein. Zwar ging der spätere Sieger Moritz Schittenhelm an ihm vorbei, doch der in Führung liegende Jens Wiedemann, der auch die Qualifikation gewonnen hatte, stürzte und wurde nur auf dem 23. Platz gewertet. Damit blieb Hartmann bis ins Ziel auf dem zweiten Rang. Ähnliches Bild im zweiten Durchgang: Guter Start und Zweiter in der ersten Kurve hinter Schittenhelm, der erneut den Lauf gewann, während Hartmann auf der Husqvarna erneut Zweiter wurde und damit auch Zweiter in der neu eröffneten Meisterschaft ist.
